President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Armed Forces, General Asim Munir.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation in the defense sector and military education, as well as the development of bilateral ties between the two countries.
President Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan regards Pakistan as an important partner in South Asia. He noted the positive momentum in bilateral relations. According to the President, both countries have significant potential to strengthen economic ties, particularly in trade, transport, and logistics.
In turn, General Asim Munir conveyed greetings from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Chief of Army Staff highlighted the positive trend in cooperation between the defense agencies of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
The interlocutors underscored the importance of providing additional impetus to the development of cooperation and fully realizing the existing opportunities in various economic sectors of mutual interest.
