
Yerzhan Zhiyenbayev was born in 1981 in Almaty.
He graduated from Turan University in 2004 with a major in law, еarning an Executive MBA from RANЕРА in 2018.
From 2002 to 2005, he worked in the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
From 2005 to 2012 he worked in the Office of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan as senior expert, chief expert, chief consultant, Head of the unit, Deputy Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From 2012 to 2013, he was Deputy Head of the Legislation, Defense and Law Enforcement Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From 2013 to July 2019, he served as Head of the Legal Department of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From July to October 2019, he held the position of the Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime Minister.
From October 2019 to September 2023, he held the position of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of Kazakhstan.
From September 2023 to June 2026, he served as an Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Legal Affairs.
On June 3, 2026, by the Presidential Decree, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He has been awarded «Qurmet» (2016), «Parasat» (2021), «Barys» of the third degree (2025) Orders, Recognition of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2020), Certificate of Honor of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021); has 7 jubilee medals.
