Nursultan Nazarbayev and Angela Merkel spoke about the outcome of the “Normandy Four” negotiations in Minsk between the leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine.
The President highlighted significant contribution of the Federal Chancellor to the successful completion of negotiations in Minsk.
Angela Merkel stressed the importance of efforts made by Nursultan Nazarbayev to promote peaceful settlement of conflict in the south-east of Ukraine and asked to continue this important work, noting the possibility of holding the “Normandy Four” meeting in Astana.
The sides expressed their hope that the efforts of all parties to ensure peace process will contribute to the settlement of crisis in Ukraine.
The Presidents also noted with satisfaction the high level of Kazakh-German cooperation.
