Addressing the briefing participants, President Nursultan Nazarbayev underscored the high level of the visit and warm welcome demonstrated by the French side, indicating close ties and strong partnership between the two countries.
“We agreed on a strategic partnership with the former leaders of France. As of today, we have implemented 34 major projects, 24 are underway, dozens are to be realized in the nearest future in line with the contracts and agreements concluded during yesterday’s business forum,” he said.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that France, being a major player on the European arena, is at the forefront in various economic sectors, especially in agriculture. Nursultan Nazarbayev also said that an agreement on joint projects in the agricultural sector is of great importance for our country.
“We will also cooperate in the field of mechanical engineering, chemical industry, energy, education and medicine. For us it is of utmost importance to involve both the United Kingdom and France into the implementation of industrial and infrastructure programs. The visit and the talks that we had, have raised the cooperation between the two countries to a higher level,” he added.
