Nursultan Nazarbayev got acquainted with the work of the regional multi-field hospital, as well as the pace of public healthcare development in the region.
The President also met with hospital staff members and healthcare workers of Aktobe region.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that the newly built facility is equipped with advanced technologies.
“A lot depends on you. You will bring health benefits to people, in case you perform your duties in a professional manner, using the available equipment to the maximum extent possible. Our country pays great attention to health care sector. In terms of per capita allocations Kazakhstan is getting closer to the developed countries. In Kazakhstan, nearly one thousand healthcare facilities have been built over the past two decades. Not only our population chooses domestic medicine, but also citizens of neighbouring countries are coming to Kazakhstan for treatment,” he said.
In conclusion, the President wished hospital staff members every success in their important work.
The meeting participants, in turn, thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the continued efforts to create favourable conditions in order to further develop healthcare sector and ensure personnel training and exchange of experience.

A 320-bed hospital was built under the “100 schools, 100 hospitals” state programme and is equipped with modern diagnostic and medical technology.
The hospital has 29 departments, 5 of which are unique in the region, including the unit of endocrinology, otorhinolaryngology, urology, vascular surgery and hyperbaric oxygenation. The facility employs 104 doctors and 283 specialists with secondary medical education.
