The ceremony has also been attended by the Parliament deputies, the Culture and Sports Minister A. Mukhamediuly, and the country’s famous figures of culture and art.
In the welcoming speech, the State Secretary noted that the President of Kazakhstan particularly emphasizes the important role of culture and art in the country’s development. "Madeni Mura" State Program has been realized during the years of Independence; 52 theaters are successfully functioning, and "Astana Opera", "Astana Ballet" theaters, as well as the Kazakh National University of Arts and the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography have been established.
Gulshara Abdykalikova also expressed her confidence that the Association of Kazakhstan’s Theaters, created in 2016, will make an important contribution to the country’s growth of the spiritual and cultural life and the young people’s creative potential, and will also encourage achievement of objectives clearly stated by the Head of State in "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness " Address.
"Sakhnager" national theatrical award is given for creations that form a positive attitude towards work, strengthen the common cultural space of the country, and develop Kazakhstan's patriotism and love for the national culture.
