The conference was also attended by US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol, heads of structural subdivisions of the Presidential Administration, state bodies, veterans of the diplomatic service, representatives of international organizations and foreign diplomatic corps, public organizations, research institutions and educational institutions.
In her welcoming speech, Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova stressed that the balanced foreign policy of Kazakhstan’s President ensured creation of favorable conditions for strengthening Kazakhstan's statehood, development of the country's economic potential, formation of a systematic architecture and security guarantees for our country for many decades to come.
She has stated that over the past quarter century our cooperation has reached the level of relations of a mature strategic partnership based on mutual trust, support and respectful consideration of national interests.
Gulshara Abdykalikova noted that Kazakhstan and the United States together made a huge contribution to the strengthening of international peace and global security. A bright indicator of the constructive spirit of cooperation in solving global problems is EXPO-2017 on "Future Energy" theme, where more than 115 countries are represented, united in a common desire to develop new technologies for the benefit of global sustainable development.
Three panels dedicated to Kazakhstan-US cooperation in the sphere of international security, peace promotion, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were held within the conference.
