During the meeting, the Secretary of State stressed that, in accordance with the Head of the State’s Address to Kazakhstan’s Nation "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", the results of innovation should be introduced into production, which is one of the conditions for the Al-Farabi State Prize. The Al-Farabi State Prize of Kazakhstan in science and technology is to honor achievements of scientists and technicians.
In total, 24 works have been submitted for this State Prize in 2017. The recommendations of the sections and the State Research and Technical Expertise conclusions were addressed to.
Following the results, the Commission approved a list of works that had passed the preliminary selection for the State Prize. The list is to be published in "Yegemen Kazakhstan" and "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" newspapers for wide public discussion.
At the second stage the sections’ heads are instructed to consider the works that passed the preliminary selection, taking into account the proposals made at the Commission’s session and discussions in the media.
In 2017, the Al-Farabi State Prize amount in the field of science and technology is equal to KZT 18.6 million.
