After the official welcoming ceremony at Akorda residence, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Donald Tusk have had negotiations.
The Head of State has stressed that the visit of the European Council’s President will give an additional impetus to the development of relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union.
- Your visit is very important. I am sure that our mutually beneficial cooperation will only expand. Given that both parties are determined to achieve their goals, the future of our relations is bright, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
In turn, Donald Tusk expressed his gratitude for the invitation to make a visit to Kazakhstan.
- I appreciate your hospitality. We have common experience, common history of relationships. Despite the large geographical distance, Kazakhstan is an important and stable partner for us not only in a regional but also in a global context, the head of the European Council said.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU in various fields.
