President Nursultan Nazarbayev welcomed Nenad Lalovic, who arrived in Astana to take part in the Olympic qualification wrestling tournament of Asia.
“Wrestling is a traditional sport, which has a special meaning for the Kazakh people. In the old days, wrestling tournaments were organized practically for every holiday. Today, the state takes efforts to popularize wrestling among youth, which has helped Kazakhstan to reach new heights in the international arena,” he noted.
Nenad Lalovic, on his part, thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the support and organization of the tournament in Astana. He also awarded the President with the Honorary Order of the United World Wrestling international federation.
