At the meeting there was a discussion of the issues concerning the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, as well as aspects of further deepening of the Eurasian integration.
The Head of State, emphasizing the high results of the Eurasian Economic Union activity, noted the increased attention of other countries to unification.
- The year 2017 was successful. The trade turnover between our countries has grown by 27%. We see great interest in our association; currently more than 40 countries cooperate with us. We are meeting with you on the eve of the Council’s Summit, all items on the agenda of which have been agreed upon. We have to discuss difficult issues concerning, among other things, sanctions, the President of Kazakhstan said.
In turn, Tigran Sargsyan congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on the Day of National Unity of Kazakhstan and wished prosperity to our country.
- On the instructions of the Council, I would like to discuss with you a few details: to determine how we can more effectively hold a meeting of the Supreme Council, which issues require special attention, and to consider the problems related to the deepening of integration, the Chairman of the EEC Board said.
The Head of State has also been informed about the current activities of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
