During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of further development of medicine in Kazakhstan, including cardiac surgery and cardiology services.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that the number people across the country, who need cardiac surgery has recently reached 10-15 thousand.
- Earlier, we were not able to help these people. Those who had an opportunity traveled abroad to receive treatment. However, not everyone could do that and hence we had to lose people. Today in the capital and many regions of Kazakhstan open heart surgery is carried out. The National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center, is already gaining prominence in the CIS and several other countries. Such surgeries are also a good image project for Kazakhstan, but the most important thing is that lives of many people were saved, - he said.
