The conversation began with the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Türkiye exchanging warm congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Nauryz.
The Turkish leader congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful conduct of the nationwide referendum and the adoption of the new Constitution of Kazakhstan. He noted that this was made possible by the wise and confident policy pursued by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed confidence that the new Constitution would provide a strong impetus for the continued progressive development of Kazakhstan, as well as strengthen its domestic and international potential.
The President of Kazakhstan thanked the Turkish observers for their active participation and assistance in holding the referendum, reflecting the traditionally fraternal and friendly nature of relations between the two countries.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the importance of his upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan scheduled for May 14, as well as the meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council to be held during the visit, and the forthcoming informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev agreed on the importance of the planned high-level talks in Astana for giving additional impetus to bilateral strategic partnership. He also expressed high expectations for the summit of the Heads of Turkic-speaking states in Turkestan, noting that the Kazakh people will warmly welcome the President of Türkiye.
In turn, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan invited the President Tokayev to take part in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in April.
The invitation was gratefully accepted.
