At the initiative of the European side, a telephone conversation took place between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, and António Costa, the President of the European Council.
During the conversation, current issues and prospects for strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union were discussed.
The Kazakh President noted the positive dynamics in the development of relations with the EU, including within the framework of the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation, emphasizing the importance of deepening ties in the areas of trade, investment, energy, transportation, logistics, sustainable development, and digital transformation.
The interlocutors confirmed their readiness for further dialogue and practical cooperation on a broad range of bilateral and regional issues.
At the end of the conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited António Costa to visit Kazakhstan.
