During the meeting, the results of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Eni over the past year and the potential for further cooperation were discussed.
A record 63.5 million tonnes of oil was shipped through the CPC pipeline in 2023. Total oil production at the Kashagan and Karachaganak fields was 30.8 million tonnes.
According to the President, the achievement of such results was possible due to the joint teamwork of the Kazakh Government and all consortium members, including Eni.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the projects in Aktobe and Turkestan regions to build wind and solar power plants with a total capacity of 150 MW.
The Head of State was also briefed on the Italian company's plans to build a gas processing plant, a 250 MW hybrid power plant in Mangystau region and to produce vegetable oil for further processing into biodiesel.
