The meeting highlighted significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in logistics and e-commerce, including within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
According to the President, Kazakhstan plans to increase the share of e-commerce to 20% of total trade by 2030. He expressed the view that, through joint efforts with Chinese partners, this target could be achieved ahead of schedule.

During the meeting, a particular attention was paid to the Almaty SkyHub transport and logistics hub project, aimed at ensuring the efficient processing of goods for onward delivery to the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and Central Asia. The project is expected to give fresh impetus to the development of the transport and logistics sector in southern Kazakhstan.
The Head of State positively assessed the performance of the Qazpost–YTO joint venture, which makes extensive use of intelligent IT solutions and automated logistics processes. To date, the company, established by YTO Express and Kazpost, has delivered 12.5 million parcels.
Zhou Jian, in turn, thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his support in implementing major projects. The Executive Director of YTO Express briefed the President of Kazakhstan on the company’s experience in developing efficient supply chains and digitalizing logistics processes.
During the meeting, Wen Peichen announced the launch of a joint project with Pinduoduo in Kazakhstan in October this year.
