The President discussed with the head of a well-known Italian agricultural holding the prospects for the implementation of investment projects in Kazakhstan's agricultural sector.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasised that our country is among the leaders in wheat cultivation. As the head of state noted, Kazakhstan is one of the main suppliers of wheat to Italy and at the same time plans to increase the share of grain processing within the country.
In turn, Federico Vecchioni reported on the company's plans to implement projects for the cultivation of crops using Italian technology and for further processing in Kazakhstan, as well as for the training of specialists and the transfer of technology.
The Head of State expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support from the Government.
In addition, the Italian company was invited to consider the possibility of implementing joint projects to develop intensive horticulture and seed production.
