The Head of State stressed that the talks taken place in the framework of the visit were successful.
- I take the view that as a result of the visit we have achieved all the goals we have set. The joint statement has been signed, in which our relations are defined as strategic, deepened and trustworthy, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Kazakhstan President noted the importance of Japanese companies’ participation in Kazakhstan’s business projects, place greater focus on the agreement in the sphere of development of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the interest of Japanese entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan’s agriculture.
- I hope that Japanese companies will come to us. During the meeting with business professionals of Japan, at least, they talked about the high level of interest. Our delegation members familiarized the Japanese colleagues with the business climate in our country. It is difficult now to find the money; everybody saves and the crisis is going on. Under these conditions the respect for our country is a good sign, he said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that the anti-nuclear theme takes a special place in the relations between the two countries.
- We did the right thing, having visited Hiroshima. Consolidation of Kazakhstan and Japan’s forces and joint initiatives are very important, especially because in “World. XXI Century” Manifesto I have put forward a task to put an end to weapons of mass destruction this century, the President of Kazakhstan said.
