During the meeting the Head of State thanked Emomali Rakhmon for the invitation and hospitality and congratulated the Tajik people on two major holidays - Independence Day and the 3000th anniversary of Hissar.
- Kazakhstan and Tajikistan share traditional friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust. There are no controversies between the two countries in the political and economic spheres. Tajikistan is a brotherly country for us, so we are interested in its stable development. In the current difficult situation in the global economy we have a growth point for cooperation, - said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Head of State also noted that countries adhere to common principles in international politics, and close cooperation in the framework of such organizations as the SCO, CSTO and CICA serves as its evidence.
In turn, the President of Tajikistan thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for his attention to the development of bilateral relations. Rakhmon also said that to date, the partnership between the two countries strengthened in various fields, including trade and economy.
- Your visit today will give a new impetus to the development of good-neighborly relations between our countries, - said the President of Tajikistan.
As part of the negotiations, the parties signed a number of bilateral documents.
