A wide range of issues of cooperation in the context of upcoming signing of a new Agreement on Expanded Partnership and Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union was discussed at the meeting. Topical aspects of the international agenda were also touched upon. Nursultan Nazarbayev and Jose Manuel Barroso stressed a high level of cooperation, which were reached over the years of collaborative work. President of Kazakhstan expressed thanks to the President of the European Commission for a considerable contribution to the cooperation between our country and the European Union, having wished him success.
