The Head of State got acquainted with the capital city’s new unique construction, designed for high-quality and professional training of national teams and a sports reserve for summer and winter Paralympics.
Nursultan Nazarbayev saw the game hall, martial arts hall and training facilities, and also talked with athletes and coaches.
- Our country will glorify owing to your perseverance and strong will. I admire your activity and dedication. You show a worthy example to everybody, the President of Kazakhstan said.
During the visit, the Head of State awarded Alexander Kolyadin, a champion of the XII Winter Paralympics Games, with the memorable gift for sports achievements.
In addition, during the opening of the sports facility, Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympics Committee, awarded Nursultan Nazarbayev with the Order of Honour of the organization.
Majid Rashed noted that this award is a sign of recognizing the great contribution of the President of Kazakhstan to the Paralympic movement in the country, his constant support of people with special needs through social protection and ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens.
