Upon arrival in Akmola region, the Head of State inspected the fields of grain and oilseeds, and also got acquainted with the preparations for the harvest campaign.
- It is necessary to ensure timely harvesting. The weather favours us. It is impossible to delay the work, because it leads to significant costs, the President of Kazakhstan said.
During the visit, Nursultan Nazarbayev heard the information about the main results of social and economic development and prospects of Akmola region’s agricultural sector.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of applying advanced scientific achievements and digitization in the agro-industrial complex.
- Shortandy region is implementing the electronic map of the fields on an experimental basis; there is a satellite monitoring of the state of crops, together with spot seeding of seeds and differentiated application of fertilizers. This makes it possible to increase labour productivity by 2 times, and the yield - by more than 5 quintals per hectare, while reducing costs by 20%, the President of Kazakhstan noted.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev inspected the exhibition with samples of agricultural machinery of domestic and foreign production.
