During the working visit to Almaty and Almaty region, the Kazakh leader visited the memorial complex called "Batyr Babalar", which is located on the territory of Raiymbek rural area of Karasai district.
Nursultan Nazarbayev saw the expositions of the memorial complex, which demonstrate Kazakhstan’s history, beginning with Saka culture and ending with the formation of Alash Horde government. The central part of the memorial is dedicated to the Kazakh batyrs.
In addition, the Head of State was shown a portrait gallery of famous historical figures - khans, biys, batyrs, who distinguished themselves in the struggle for Fatherland’s independence.
The President of Kazakhstan also met with prominent representatives of the public in Karasai district and discussed with them the pressing issues of the socio-economic situation in the region and prospects for the development of Almaty region.
