Addressing the believers, the Head of State congratulated all Kazakhstanis on the holiday of Kurban Ait and noted that this celebration symbolizes peace, purity of thoughts, reveals the depth of the eternal spiritual values of Islam, and also embodies the highest moral principles - mercy, kindness and compassion.
- Congratulations, and I wish all Muslims of Kazakhstan that your wishes and requests reach the Supreme and come true, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that Kurban Ait is not limited to solemn prayer and sacrifice, and called for charity, assistance to the poor, orphans, the elderly and all who need it.
The Head of State stated that today all conditions for professing religion and sending each religious rite, regardless of confessional affiliation, have been created in Kazakhstan.
- Soon Astana hosts the VI Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will contribute to the further development of global interreligious dialogue and communication, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
