The conference was attended by members of the Government, the chairmen and members of the House of Parliament, the chairman and members of the Constitutional Council, delegations of international organizations, as well as heads of constitutional control, courts, prosecutors and human rights institutions of 28 countries, well-known foreign and Russian scholars, political scientists and experts.
President of Kazakhstan in his welcoming speech to the participants of the conference noted that on 30th August 1995 during the referendum the only right way has been chosen.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that in just two decades our country has come a long way.
The conference participants expressed their appreciation for Kazakhstan's experience of constitutional development.
Foreign guests noted Kazakhstan's achievements in maintaining political stability, ensuring interethnic and interreligious harmony and stability and consistency of the process of democratization and liberalization.
