The Head of State laid floral tributes at Otan Korgaushylar (Motherland Defenders) Monument and held a minute of silence in memory of the soldiers killed in the lines of the Great Patriotic War. After ceremonial review of the guard of honour, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally congratulated each veteran and home front worker who took part in the event.
