At the joint meeting of the Houses of Parliament attended by the members of the Constitutional Council, judges of the Supreme Court, the First President of Kazakhstan -Elbasy, the Cabinet members, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has taken the oath to the people of Kazakhstan.
- I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly follow the Constitution and laws of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of citizens, conscientiously perform the high duties assigned to me by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
Addressing the ceremony participants, the Head of State emphasized the merits of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in the formation and prosperity of independent Kazakhstan, as well as the construction of the capital city Astana.
- Nursultan Nazarbayev has already entered world history as an outstanding reformer. He has managed to transform Kazakhstan into a modern, advanced state, which is among the 50 most competitive countries in the world. His economic and political reforms have become a symbol of wise state policy, the President of Kazakhstan said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that by taking the position of authority, he will continue to ensure the continuity of Elbasy’s strategic course.
During the ceremony, the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy was awarded Khalyk Kakharmany title and was awarded a special insignia - Golden Star.
