During the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev thanked Askar Myrzakhmetov for his work and introduced new First Deputy Chairman of the party Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed.
The President noted that being at the position of the First Deputy Chairman of the party Askar Myrzahmetov coped with all tasks, having successfully held parliamentary elections. He also said that in his new position Askar Myrzahmetov will have to face a number of challenges, including tackling the land issue.
Askar Myrzahmetov, in turn, thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the vote of confidence and expressed his readiness for the new assigned tasks.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed has a degree in law and journalism, having worked as a Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament, Press Secretary and Advisor to the President, as well as the Minister of Culture.
The party should remain a powerful political force. It must generate new ideas and initiatives. The Nur Otan party has to be a strong think tank,” he stressed.
Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed expressed his gratitude for the vote of confidence and said he will make every effort to ensure effective work of the party.
