During the meeting, the Head of State was informed about the activity results of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces in 2017 to strengthen the national defence capability and increase the combat readiness of troops.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that for 25 years since its formation the Army has become the guarantor of territorial integrity, economic prosperity and strengthening of the our state’s authority.
-This year we have approved the national security strategy, the military doctrine, the concept of the Armed Forces development, which determine the directions and tasks of the national military further development. As a result of implementing these documents, by 2030 the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces should grow up one-and-a-half times by means of escalating the combat potential of our troops. Feasibility of Special Warfare Command will advance three-fold, the President of Kazakhstan said.
The Head of State visited the cyberforces command centre of the Armed Forces and checked out modern cyber security capabilities of information systems.
In conclusion, the President of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific instructions on the further development of the National Armed Forces.
