During the briefing the President of Kazakhstan said that the sides covered a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and discussed the situation in the region, including Afghanistan and the Middle East.
The Head of State stressed that special attention was paid to the development of transit-transport cooperation.
Nursultan Nazarbayev told about the agreement on concrete steps in the industry, pharmaceuticals, energy, military-technical sphere, science and other important areas.
Kazakhstan's President also noted that the Business Council was created in order to cooperate in areas such as processing of agricultural products, chemical and light industry, the banking sector.
Prime Minister of Pakistan thanked for the warm welcome and hospitality, noting that the new capital Astana is a symbol of Kazakhstan's progress and prosperity.
- I am impressed by the scale of socio-economic progress of Kazakhstan, achieved thanks to the skillful leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. We wish your country further progress and prosperity. Our countries have great potential to improve relations, - said N.Sharif.
