The Head of State was presented the concept of creating the National Scientific Oncology Centre in Astana, the instruction for the construction of which was announced in the Message referred to as Growth of Welfare in Kazakhstan: Income and Quality of Life Improvement.
According to the Health Minister, the construction of the oncology centre will start this year. The new medical institution will use advanced technologies for diagnosing and treating cancers, including laser, radiation, cell-immune therapy and other modern methods.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan heard the report on the current activities of Nazarbayev University in the context of implementing certain areas of the Message.
Shigeo Katsu presented the Head of State with information about the work plans of the Innovation Cluster and the launch of the University’s Scientific and Laboratory Complex, and also spoke about some of the development issues of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.
Following the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific instructions.
