During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the progressive nature of Kazakhstan-China relations and expressed confidence in their further strengthening for the benefit of the two nations.
In turn, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Xiao conveyed to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulations from President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China on assuming the office of President of Kazakhstan, and also assured that he would make every effort to further develop bilateral cooperation in the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership.
