The Head of the State, having welcomed the Prime Minister of Pakistan, expressed his gratitude for his participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the opening of "Astana Expo-2017" world exhibition.
- I am grateful for your participation in the opening of the Expo and the work of tomorrow's SCO Summit. The process of Pakistan’s admission to the Organization’s membership started exactly here 12 years ago, tomorrow it will be completed, said the President of Kazakhstan.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the importance of establishing interstate cooperation and further development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
In turn, Nawaz Sharif drew attention to Astana’s transformation and noted Nursultan Nazarbayev’s part in the construction of the new capital of Kazakhstan.
- On your part, a unique and amazing work has been done for Astana’s construction. I admire the changes in the capital of Kazakhstan. It is your vision and leadership that led to the city and the whole country’s prosperity, the Prime Minister of Pakistan said.
The meeting has finished with discussion of the topical matters of bilateral relations.
