The President of Kazakhstan, thanking the leader of Armenia for participating in Astana Economic Forum, focused on topical issues in bilateral relations.
- Our countries have strong ties of friendship and partnership. Representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in Kazakhstan live in harmony with other ethnic groups and make a significant contribution to our country’s socio-economic growth. At the root of our cooperation is the First President – Leader of Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Eurasian Economic Union, created on the basis of his idea, contributes to our interaction’s strengthening. We hold close positions in such global and regional organizations as the UN and the CSTO, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
Armen Sarkissian spoke in favor of strengthening the economic relations of Kazakhstan and Armenia.
- We closely cooperate within international organizations and in a bilateral format. I am sure that the establishment of Astana International Financial Centre will contribute to the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries, the President of Armenia stressed.
The sides, noting the increase in mutual trade in the past year by 30 percent, agreed to expand cooperation in this direction in the future.
