Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed confidence that participation of the Islamic Development Bank Group in the meeting of the AIFC Management Board and the appointment of Bandar Hajjar as a Board member would make a significant contribution to the growth of Islamic financial services in Kazakhstan.
- The First President and the Government of Kazakhstan pay great attention to the extension of Islamic financing. We have created conditions for the activities of Islamic banks and financial institutions. I am sure that this direction will be successful, said the Head of State.
The sides have exchanged views on the IDB contribution in the AIFC’s activities, through the involverment of other Islamic financial institutions, localizing IDB structures based on the AIFC and issuing Islamic bonds on the Centre's stock exchange.
