Bakhyt Sultanov reported to the President on the results of the Ministry's acitivities in such key areas as the development of domestic and foreign trade, support for exporters, integration processes, and protection of the domestic market from counterfeit products.
The Minister also informed the Head of State that the issues of pricing and stabilization of prices for socially important food products are under special control of his Ministry. A draft Road Map that defines the tasks of central and local executive bodies has been elaborated.
Giving a positive assessment to the Ministry's activities, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has set specific tasks for Bakhyt Sultanov to saturate the domestic market with domestic goods, stabilize prices for socially important food products, exclude unjustified price increases, intermediary schemes and simplify access of Kazakh producers to consumers. A strategically important task facing the Ministry is to strengthen the state's position in the integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union through constructive interaction with partners within the Union.
