President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received the members of the US House of Representatives Devin Nunes and Rick Crawford.
Expansion of the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as the current regional agenda was discussed during the meeting.
- The US is one of the first countries to recognize Kazakhstan’s independence. We enjoy close cooperation in trade, economic, investment and energy sectors. The significant part of our successful cooperation is the sphere of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, said the Head of State.
American lawmakers congratulated President Tokayev on his victory in the presidential election and wished him success in implementing the planned reforms.
The congressmen praised Kazakhstan’s role in strengthening peace, stability and security in Central Asia, focusing on the joint efforts in the cause of socio-economic reconstruction of Afghanistan.
