During the meeting, the Head of State heard the report on the activities of the justice bodies for this year’s six months and the execution of these instructions earlier.
- For six months of 2018, first-instance courts have examined 1.8 million court cases and materials, which is higher than in the same period last year. 16302 people were convicted by criminal cases, 25% of whom were sentenced to imprisonment, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court reported.
Zhakip Asanov has also informed Nursultan Nazarbayev about a 30% reduction in the number of cases of choosing a preventive measure in the form of arrest for economic crimes.
Ending the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of instructions.
