During the meeting, the Head of State heard the information on the analysis of the economic development indicators during 2017 and the report on the Ministry’s current activities.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has made the point of strategic planning and forecasting in the process of preparing and implementing the state programs.
- All measures shall take place in the interests of Kazakhstan's economic advancement. It is critical to into the progress of the state programs implementation, including the fulfilment of Five Social Initiatives. The Ministry of National Economy should specify further steps for all government agencies, both at the central and regional levels, the President of Kazakhstan said.
In turn, Timur Suleimenov reported to the President on the results of economic development for the first quarter of the current year and the impact of global processes on the national economy as a whole.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan gave a number of specific instructions, including the further development of Kazakhstan's export and transit potential, as well as the implementation of state and sectoral programs.
