Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the Mazhilis’ proposal is relevant in the framework of far-reaching reforms implemented by the state and the situation in world markets. He also pointed out that combined elections to the Mazhilis and maslikhats will optimise financial and organisational costs. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev stressed the initiative to hold early parliamentary election is a timely decision because the Mazhilis needs to get a new mandate of the people’s trust to begin implementing the tasks facing the country.
