Nursultan Nazarbayev and Abdullah II discussed bilateral relations and regional cooperation, having exchanged their opinions on the most topical issues of the international agenda.
The sides also discussed issues related to the ongoing Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana.
Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that Jordan is a friendly country to Kazakhstan.
“Your visit to our country to participate in the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions has a special significance. We have enjoyed long-standing trust-based relationships. Kazakhstan has great respect for your country. I would also like to highlight the important role that you play in ensuring stability in the region, where Jordan is located. In this regard, Kazakhstan always stands ready to support you,” he said.
The King of Jordan, on his part, thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for the invitation to visit Kazakhstan and noted it is important to further strengthen bilateral relations.
“Thank you so much for inviting me to visit your lovely country. It is always an honour for me to be here and hear words of wisdom from a good friend who always seeks for the betterment of our world and society. I have been admiring for many years your efforts to bring different peoples and religions together,” he said.
