Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Joe Kaeser discussed prospects for strengthening Kazakhstan's investment cooperation with Siemens. Special emphasis at the meeting was paid for digitalization matters.
Noting the exceptional importance of digitalization, the Head of State told Joe Kaeser about the introduction of digital technologies in Kazakhstan.
“The development of digitalization is an important priority for me as the President of the country and our Government. We have implemented many successful projects in this area, and there are a number of issues that need to be addressed and moved forward. It will be extremely difficult to achieve significant results without digitalization of the economy,” the Head of State said.
Joe Kaeser highly appreciated the level of interaction between Siemens AG and Kazakhstan and expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides noted the important role of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Kazakhstan and Siemens AG, which is intended to give an additional impetus to the development of trade, economic and investment relations. The document was signed on February 14, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
