The President highlighted progressive development of cooperation between the two countries.

“This is not the first time that we meet. Our regular contacts indicate the desire to strengthen trade and economic relations. We highly appreciate the fact that Hungary was the first country of the European Union to sign a strategic partnership agreement with Kazakhstan. We will do our best to make your visit productive and ensure the agreements are reached in specific areas of cooperation,” he said.

Viktor Orban, in turn, thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev for his invitation to visit Kazakhstan and conveyed warm greetings of the Hungarian people.

“Against a complex background in the world, we are interested to know your vision for the future of Kazakh-Hungarian cooperation. I would like to assure you that Kazakhstan has a reliable friend in the European Union. I am delighted to inform you that we have opened the Astana Street in Budapest. We believe our countries enjoy high level of political and cultural cooperation and we feel your support that stands behind this,” Prime Minister of Hungary said.
